1851 census - Fenwick - film 1042402

County of Ayr, District of Cunningham, Parish of Fenwick, No. of Enumeration District 8

The rest of the parish of Fenwick, limited by the Glasgow road on the W, by No. 1 and the road to Galston on the N.E., by the Water from Bruntlane bridge to Kilmarnock parish on the S. E., and by Kilmarnock parish on the S. - Contains the greater part of Fenwick town, Midland, Landbed Mill, Marchbank, Angle, Aitkenhead, Loanfoot and Damusternock.

I have examined the Enumerator's Book for this district No. 8 - According to the extent of my knowledge with Respect to the population therein contained is as correct as possible - There is a decrease I believe, but to what cause this is to be traced, it is difficult to say - David Dickie - 25 April 1851

The estimated number of such persons who are returned in the subsequent pages as having slept in his district on the night of March 30th, but who were there only temporarily - 3 males, 3 females, 6 Total,

Visitors.
