Obituary: Marjorie J. Orwig, 74, of 110 E. Hummelstown Road, Unit H, Elizabethtown, died unexpectedly Friday at the Tri-City Medical Center, Oceanside, Calif., while visiting relatives.
She was the wife of the late John G. Orwig, who died in January
1992.
Born in Sunbury Township, Northumberland County, she was the daughter of Muriel Withnall Bright, Oceanside, Calif., and the late Joseph Bright.
For more than 18 years before her retirement in 1982, she was a nurse's aide at the former Elizabethtown Children's Hospital.
She was a member of the Order of the Moose Lodge in Elizabethtown.
She enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting and knitting, and was known for her indoor house plants.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher A., Mount Joy, and Kenneth C., Columbia; four grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce, wife of Dale E. McKee, Oceanside, Calif.
