 First Generation 

          1.  Andrew¹ Jamphra birth date unknown.  Andrew died 30 March 1780 in Stevenston, Ayr.   

          He married Isabell Spence in Dysart, Fife, Scotland, 7 October 1726.  Isabell was born in Dysart, Fife, Scotland 7 July 1711.  Isabell was the daughter of James Spence and Bessie Ness .  Isabell died 15 April 1749 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 37 years of age.  Andrew was a coalheaver.  

          Andrew Jamphra and Isabell Spence had the following children:  

    +          2     i.     Robert² Jamphra was born About  1734.

                 3     ii.     Andrew Jamphra was born About 1735.  He married Jane Wylie in Stevenston, Ayr, 20 March 1753.  It is unlikely  that Andrew is the son of Andrew Jamphra and Isabell Spence as they have another son, Andrew born in 1746. However, given the date of his marriage and the name Jamphra, which doesn't appear in Stevenston prior to 1738, it does seem likely that there is some relation.

                 4     iii.     William Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 1738.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 1 January 1738.

                 5     iv.     Thomas Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 1739.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, May 1739.

    +          6     v.     David Jamphra was born About 1742.

                 7     vi.     Ann Jamphery was born in Ardrossan, Ayr About 1744.

                 8     vii.     Andrew Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 2 March 1746.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 9 March 1746.

                 9     viii.     James Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 28 November 1747.  James died 26 May 1748 in Stevenston, Ayr, at less than one year of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 5 December 1747.  

 Second Generation 

          2.  Robert² Jamphra (Andrew¹) was born About  1734.  Robert died 12 February 1792 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 57 years of age.   

          He married Mary Watson in Stevenston, Ayr, 14 August 1752.  There is no evidence that Robert is the son of Andrew Jamphra. However, given the date of his marriage and the name Jamphra, which doesn't appear in Stevenston prior to 1738, it does seem a likely possibility. Robert was a coalheaver.  

          Robert Jamphra and Mary Watson had the following children:  

               10     i.     Katherine³ Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1753.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 4 March 1753.

    +        11     ii.     Andrew Jamphra was born About 1754.

               12     iii.     John Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1756.  John died 2 August 1757 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 1 year of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 7 January 1757.

               13     iv.     Ann Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1765.  She married Corak McDonald in Stevenston, Ayr, 18 June 1791. 

                           She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 23 August 1765.  Ann may have died on 1 September 1765. In which case who married Corak McDonald?

               14     v.     Margaret Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1766.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 7 September 1766.

               15     vi.     Jane Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1769.  Jane died 22 January 1770 in Stevenston, Ayr, at less than one year of age.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 23 April 1769.

    +        16     vii.     David Jamphra was born About 1771.

               17     viii.     Mary Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1773.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 29 December 1773.

               18     ix.     William Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1774.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 29 January 1775.   

          6.  David² Jamphra (Andrew¹) was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1742.   

          He married Ann Hunter in Stevenston, Ayr, 29 April 1761.  Ann was born in Stevenston, Ayr 12 September 1742.  Ann was the daughter of Joseph Hunter and Ann Lockridge .  Ann died 5 January 1803 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 60 years of age.  Ann is described as a widow in Stevenston on her death record.  

          He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 7 March 1742.  David was a coalheaver.  

          David Jamphra and Ann Hunter had the following children:  

    +        19     i.     Joseph³ Jamphra was born 16 March 1762.

               20     ii.     Andrew Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 9 May 1764.  Andrew died 16 March 1766 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 1 year of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 13 May 1764.

    +        21     iii.     David Jamphra was born 20 September 1766.

               22     iv.     William Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 22 september 1768.  William died 8 January 1770 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 1 year of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 25 September 1768.

    +        23     v.     Robert Jamphra was born 28 December 1770.

    +        24     vi.     Ann Jamphra was born 2 April 1773.

    +        25     vii.     Andrew Jamphra was born 23 July 1775.

               26     viii.     William John Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 30 September 1777.  William died 27 June 1778 in Stevenston, Ayr, at less than one year of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 5 October 1777.

               27     ix.     Janet Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 27 April 1779.  Janet died 23 May 1779 in Stevenston, Ayr, at less than one year of age.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 28 April 1779.

               28     x.     Isabell Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 7 June 1780.  Isabell died 9 January 1812 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 31 years of age.  She married John Watchman in Stevenston, Ayr, 10 December 1802. 

                           She was christened in Ardrossan, Ayr, 11 June 1780.

               29     xi.     William John Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 12 August 1782.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 14 August 1782.

    +        30     xii.     Patrick Jamphra was born 1787.  

 Third Generation 

          11.  Andrew³ Jamphra (Robert², Andrew¹) was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1754.   

          He married Isabel Smith in Stevenston, Ayr, 12 September 1774.  In the Rev. Landsborough's list of inhabitants of the Parish of Stevenston taken in the end of 1819 Widow Jamphray or Isobel Smith is listed as living in the Burn Side.  

          He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 22 December 1754.  

          Andrew Jamphra and Isabel Smith had the following children:  

               31     i.     James⁴ Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1775.  James died 25 December 1801 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 26 years of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 18 June 1775.  What a tragedy for the family to have their eldest son die on Christmas day.

               32     ii.     Katherine Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1777.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 30 March 1777.

               33     iii.     Robert Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1778.  Robert died 12 May 1798 Glasgow, at 19 years of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 30 August 1778.  Robert died by accident at Glasgow.

               34     iv.     Mary Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 28 January 1781.

               35     v.     Andrew Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1783.  Andrew died 9 August 1787 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 4 years of age.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 27 April 1783.

    +        36     vi.     Isabel Jamphra was born About 1786.

               37     vii.     Andrew Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1788.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 24 August 1788.

               38     viii.     Ann Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1790.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 August 1790.

               39     ix.     William Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1793.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 3 February 1793.

               40     x.     Margaret Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1794.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 19 October 1794.  In  the Rev. Landsborough's list of inhabitants of Stevenston at the end of 1819 is Margaret Jeffery, married to Alex Wilson, with children Andrew and Helen, living in Bridge End. This may well be Margaret Jamphra.   

          16.  David³ Jamphra (Robert², Andrew¹) was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1771.   

          He married Isabel Wilson in Stevenston, Ayr, 9 July 1793.   

          He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 6 June 1771.  In the OPR deaths for Stevenston is listed "Jamphra, Robert son to David Jamphra, died 22 March 1795"  

          David Jamphra and Isabel Wilson had the following child:  

               41     i.     Isabel⁴ Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr 26 May 1794.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 1 June 1794.   

          19.  Joseph³ Jamphra (David², Andrew¹) was born in Stevenston, Ayr 16 March 1762.  Joseph died 17 March 1815 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 53 years of age.   

          He married Janet Neil in Stevenston, Ayr, 23 December 1784.  Janet was born 21 July 1764.  Janet was the daughter of Alex McNeil and Jane Muir .  Janet died 5 January 1810 at 45 years of age.  Also known as Janet McNeil.  

          He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 March 1762.  Joseph was a coalheaver.  

          Joseph Jamphra and Janet Neil had the following children:  

    +        42     i.     Janet⁴ Jamphra was born About 1785.

               43     ii.     Ann Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1787.  Ann died 23 October 1790 in Stevenston, Ayr, at 3 years of age.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 13 January 1788.

    +        44     iii.     Margaret Jamphra was born About 1790.

               45     iv.     Jane Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1792.  She was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 22 July 1792.

    +        46     v.     Joseph Jamphra was born About 1794.

               47     vi.     Andrew Jamphra was born in Stevenston, Ayr About 1801.  He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 4 October 1801.

    +        48     vii.     Robert Jeffrey was born 19 June 1804.

    +        49     viii.     Peter Jeffrey was born About January 1806.   

          21.  David³ Jamphra (David², Andrew¹) was born in Stevenston, Ayr 20 September 1766.   

          He married Mary Mackie in Dalry, Ayr, Scotland, 26 December 1787.   

          He was christened in Stevenston, Ayr, 21 September 1766.  In the 1841 census David is living with his daughter Jean and her husband, Andrew Barr.
